I
also offer my singing voice for jingles, back-up vocals or demos
Here are some samples of my singing in case
your project has need of something extra. No need to go to two different
places for the same commercial!
Or, if you happen to have another project
involving a demo of some kind where you need a lead vocal or a back-up
vocal (maybe a song within a video game?), I can help you there
too.
Harmonies are a specialty and I come up
with them quickly and easily. In fact, I've been known to add two
or three of them to a recording I'm singing lead on (though of course,
I'll create what you need to your specifications).
I also do jazz standards very well (a popular
style for some commercials). My voice has been described as a more
contemporary cross between Karen Carpenter and Sarah Vaughan. You'll
probably be able to tell that from these samples:
A
Sample of I'll Be Seeing You (jazz)
To be included in the Mystery
of Saipan documentary. My vocals, Chris
Conway created the backing track (he's a wonderful jazz pianist!)
A
Sample of I've Got A Heart (folk)
A demo project for A.L.
The
Lady (folk)
An award winning song I've been performing with my
folk group, Urban
Tapestry, since I wrote it in 1995. This recording is from our
CD, Myths
& Urban Legends, put out in 1997.
Too
Soon For Forever (pop
ballad)
A song of mine that was completed as a demo in VMG
Studios in Atlanta, GA, with Jesse Deese on the guitar.
I've
Been Losing
A demo project for Mobius
Cat of a song written by Roman Bershadsky & David Graham.
Wonder
A duet with Chris Conway. I've done backup vocals
and duets with Chris on several occasions, the finished products
appearing on a few of his many albums. One reviewer wrote (click
on the link to hear the song):
"A
Little Bit Of Loving, a big busty ballad introducing a luscious
new voice that you would die for, (Jodi Krangle's) really hits
the spot. If her voice could be bottled you would rub it in every
night to ease all the aches and pains!" - Sounds Alive, UK
My
Jalapeno Man
(comedic torch song)
A song I've also been performing with Urban
Tapestry. It's a fun, food-related torch song written by my
music partner, Debbie Ridpath Ohi. This is just a 1 minute long
sample of the song. It's from our Sushi
& High Tea CD released in 2003, and was performed live for this
recording.
Once again, if you'd like to contact me about singing on your
project, you're welcome to email
me or give me a phone call at 905-836-5444. Or
if you'd like more samples of my singing and explanations of various
projects I've been a part of over the years, feel free to visit
my online
recording resume. I look forward to speaking with you!
